Hi there,

Lots of sewing going on here but nothing to share just yet….  I’ve been sewing lots of toys for something exciting that’s coming up, and making some clothes for the kids, Ottobre Jodpurs for Hamish and some very large bellbottoms for Cadel.  In other news we had a new addition to the family yesterday… a kitten called Peanut.  He is very friendly and the boys are besotted with him.

Apologies about the photo it’s almost impossible to get a good photo of him awake as he is so playful.

In other news, those of you interested in making a Patsy Rabbit for Easter can find the pattern in the current issue of Patchwork and Stitching Magazine.  Patsy is a gorgeous little rabbit, and a relatively simple toy for those new to toymaking.

This week in my creative space is my softie line-up.  They are haemorrhaging stuffing and in the midst of being sewn up.  I usually like to watch TV while I stuff softies, and I like to sit them along the top of the couch as I hand sew each one up.  I like to imagine them as Charactors in a law and order style crime show.

Lawyer to the witness: “which one stole the carrot?”.

So this afternoon my job is to sit on the couch and finish these guys.  They are headed to Mathilda’s market on Saturday with Stav from My Messy Room, they are also in my shop.

As always thanks to Kirsty for hosting….

I finally updated my Madeit shop with some of the new things I’ve been working on.  Some of you might recognise Patsy Rabbit (in the middle) who is already in stock at My Messy Room and will be making an appearance at Mathilda’s market on the My Messy Room stand on Saturday.

Patsy will also be available in other colourways and also as a Patrick Bunny, and will be in my shop in time for Easter.

Hope your all having a great weekend

Rachel
