You are currently browsing the tag archive for the ‘parenting’ tag.
I ran out of tags for my softies the other day. Because I sell my craft, I priotitise paid work when sometimes I’m itching to make something else. So needless to say I wasn’t too disappointed to run out of tags. I made some cushions for the loungeroom
rearranged some pictures
made a cushion for the bedroom

Since finishing those, I’ve been working on these lovely embroideries.
Anyway my tags will no doubt arrive today and having had a break I will be glad to get back into softying.
In case any of you aren’t aware The Remnant Warehouse is having its sale at the moment. I went yesterday and despite my children behaving atrociously, I bought some goodies. I’m hoping to go back kidfree on Saturday as well.
In other news today is my 30th birthday. I must say I don’t feel much like celebrating, I have been finding parenting especially hard lately, and Dan hasn’t been too well. Anyhow I’m sure the day will pick up and perhaps all my nagging about an overlocker will pay off.

“the bike stays outside”
“can you let go of your willy”
“I’m so proud of you” (We’ve just gone through toilet training)
“thanks for helping Mummy but I can get the stuffing out of the bag myself”
Are there things that you find yourself repeating ad nauseum with your kids at the moment…

I have to tell him four times to put his shoes away, but he can hear the faintest rustle of the biscuit packet from another room. He runs everywhere his blond hair bobbing and giggles frequently.
He sticks his tongue out when he’s concentrating (which my grandmother used to do), and scrunches his face up when I wipe it.
He loves books, and often exclaims proudly that he has “twenty Thomas books”. Whenever a plane flies overhead, he comments “bye bye plane”, and this is often because we live near the airport.
He always gives Hamish his dummy, even if Hamish doesn’t want it, and sometimes holds his brother’s hand in the car.
I know these characteristics describe many two year olds, but they are also what makes him unique to me. Cadel is such a funny boy, its hard to describe how much I love him.

Well hello. Is anybody still out there? Its been a while huh.
I’ve been busy doing everything other than blogging lately.
I’ve been lurking here and here.
I’ve been getting up EARLY with my youngest, who seems to want to start the day at 4.50- 5.10 am.
I’ve been looking after my husband, he had a bit of a cold and can be a bit like this.
(You’ve probably all seen this, I still laugh every time I see it though.)
I’ve been sewing owls, hippos, and new funky monsters (I promise pics to come).
What have you been up to?
Rachel
