I absolutely cannot get motivated to do much today.
The housework has languished
My sewing has been minimal- mind you I will be posting pics of completed Robot softies for the shop
Hamish and I have had lots of fun playing today, and Cadel is at Kindy.
I just watched the new Chanel No. 5 commercial on Poppytalk, it looks so beautifully shot and I am a big Audrey Tautou fan.

Remembering my babies when they were tiny, they are growing so fast.

To see more words and pictures about remembering pop over to Pip’s.

Well hello. Is anybody still out there? Its been a while huh.
I’ve been busy doing everything other than blogging lately.
I’ve been lurking here and here.
I’ve been getting up EARLY with my youngest, who seems to want to start the day at 4.50- 5.10 am.
I’ve been looking after my husband, he had a bit of a cold and can be a bit like this.
(You’ve probably all seen this, I still laugh every time I see it though.)
I’ve been sewing owls, hippos, and new funky monsters (I promise pics to come).
What have you been up to?

I just finished sewing the binding on this quilt, and couldn’t wait to show you all. I am really happy with how it has turned out and am loving working with linen. I think the linen gives it a fresher look and is a good contrast to the vibrantly patterned fabric.

I don’t mind hand sewing the binding on as it gives me a chance to admire my work, but I did find that my hand seemed achey at times. Then I found this post from Leslie which lead me to this tutorial on metred corners and this video on machine sewing binding. So I think I might give that a try next time.

PS: Sorry for the bad pics, it sure is hard photgraphing quilts!

On my desk…
Owl prototype made from corduroy. I love corduroy at the moment, for some reason it reminds me of my childhood.
Two hippo’s one awaiting eyes and nostrils and tags, the other needing stuffing.
A mini quilt to become a baby play-mat/ bassinet quilt. After two boys its nice working in pink.
To join in visit Kirsty at kootoyoo.

Checking Cadel’s hair for lice (yuck). It makes me itchy just thinking about it. I don’t think he has them though
Chasing Hamish as he follows his big brother around… alot.
Finishing a baby playmat which will go in the shop (when I set it up).
Working on owl and hippo softies. They are cute and I am really excited. I’ll post photos soon.
Entering competitions and hoping I win. tollipop has a lovely one going at the moment, as does little lovelies.
Living on the dark side with right justification.
What have you been up to ?
Thanks for stopping by…

The weather was so gorgeous today we decided to head over to Petersham Park for a picnic with Daniel’s parents. Cadel and Hamish had a great time playing and eating grass (respectively).
We dined on this…

Smoked Salmon Quiche with salad, and ….
Gramma pie with cream… yum.
Then we left the kids with their grandparents and headed over to Newtown for a glass of wine at the Bank hotel and a browse in the shops. Lovely…
Happy Easter
Rachel
